Op acht december was het weer zover: de jaarlijkse Game Awards werden weer uitgereikt. Prangende vraag was natuurlijk wie er met de felbegeerde titel van Game of the Year naar huis ging, maar er waren natuurlijk nog veel meer categorieën waar winnaars uit de bus zijn gekomen. We zetten alle winnaars voor je op een rijtje.
De Game Awards staat jaarlijks garant voor een groot spektakel. Naast de awards die worden uitgereikt zijn er ook tal van nieuwe trailers en teasers van games die wellicht volgend jaar tot de genomineerden horen. Het evenement terugkijken is hier mogelijk, neem er echter wel de tijd voor, want de show duurt zo’n 3,5 uur.
Dan… het moment waar we allemaal naar uitgekeken hebben: de genomineerden in de diverse categorieën én de uiteindelijk winnaar. De grote winnaar van de avond was natuurlijk Elden Ring die gekroond werd met Game of the Year. Andere grote winnaars waren God of War: Ragnarok en Indie-game Stray. Horizon: Forbidden West bleek helaas een grote verliezer ondanks de vele nominaties.
