Zombies, geesten, skeletten en ander eng gespuis. Sommige mensen willen een prachtige bruiloft vol saaie tradities, witte jurken en flauwe ABCtjes, maar er zijn ook mensen die het origineel aanpakken.

Onder het thema “Halloween” kan je veel games gooien. Horror games als Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Bioshock, Deadspace en Dead Island zijn mooie voorbeelden voor een Halloween/game thema bruiloft. Helaas is het aantal “horrror-game-Halloween-bruiloften” nog niet echt denderend maar ik heb er een paar voor jullie gevonden!Jennifer Jones en Rob Blackmore gingen voor het Dead Island thema. Zombies, zombies, en ohja, nog meer zombies!

Rob:

Ever since I was a child in the 1980s and saw my first zombie film, I was drawn to zombies. When technology grew and computer games came out, the first zombie game I played was Resident Evil. From there it just escalated and I became a huge fan. I’ve never played a zombie game I haven’t liked.”

Jeniffer:

“My mum wasn’t even surprised. Everyday is like Halloween for me. She loved the idea.”

Day of the Dead is een Mexicaanse feestdag die zich ook goed leent als Halloween bruiloft thema. Games met DoD thema’s kan ik mij zo niet bedenken (hoewel de maskers van Army of Two in de buurt komen) maar, de film Corpse Bride heeft wel weer Day of the Dead invloeden.

Of dit stel uit het filmpje ook een Bioshock taart op hun bruiloft hadden is mijn niet bekend, maar misschien was het een leuk idee geweest. Hieronder in elk geval hun Bioshock aanzoek.

Nog meer zombies in dit Left4Dead huwelijksaanzoek. Een vriend van het stel had een Left4Dead level speciaal aangepast (vanaf 1:27). Hoewel er na ” You’re kidding” geen antwoord komt in het filmpje laat de maker weten dat:

She did say “YES” after the “You’re Kidding part?”, it was just cut off the game since at that point I was already down on one knee with the ring . It was a huge surprise for her since she was not expecting it till late next year. We were playing together in the same room, she is a huge gamer like myself so it wasn’t like I made her play a game she has never played before, she actually has more hours clocked in L4D1/2 then anyone else I know. It’s her favorite game and the game we actually met through, which is why I chose it as my medium to propose. The game holds a special meaning to us.


En voor de liefhebber van “horrror-game-Halloween-bruiloften”, nog wat taart inspiratie.
