DDe winnaars van de gamescom awards 2022 zijn gekozen. De gamescom-awards werden uitgereikt in 20 categorieën als onderdeel van gamescom: Opening Night Live, gepresenteerd door Geoff Keighley, en als onderdeel van de gamescom-studio.
De jury van de gamescom award hebben unaniem “Lies of P” als de grote winnaar van gamescom 2022 uitgeroepen. De jury bekroonde de Souls-Like game gebaseerd op het Pinokkop verhaal als Best Action Adventure Game, Best Role Playing Game en ook voor de categroie Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game. Ritme-shooter Metal: Hellsinger won de Most Wanted PC Game en Best Action Game awards. Daedalic Entertainment uit Hamburg mochten voor hun “Inkulinati” de awards voor Best Indie Game en Most Original Game ontvangen. PLAION ontving de prijs voor de beste line-up op gamescom 2022.
Met de HEART OF GAMING Award eerde de jury van de gamescom-award de solidariteit van de wereldwijde gamesindustrie met Oekraïne: of het nu ging om grote campagnes in games die miljoenen euro’s aan donaties ophaalden voor de Oekraïense bevolking, of om snelle hulp voor gameontwikkelaars van hun collega’s van over de hele wereld: de internationale gamesindustrie heeft op veel verschillende manieren snel en resoluut haar solidariteit met Oekraïne getoond.
