Sony Online Entertainment zal volgende maand veranderingen doorvoeren in de voordelen van Gold en Premium lidmaatschappen bij bepaalde MMO’s. Onder andere games als EverQuest, EverQuest 2, PlanetSide 2 en DC Universe Online zullen onder die MMO’s vallen.
Een van de veranderingen is het 500 Station Cash dat per maand aan Gold leden gegeven wordt in EverQuest. In plaats hiervan kunnen leden elke maand voor 2000 Station Cash een van de verschillende items uitkiezen in de Station Marketplace. Elke maand zal er een keuze gemaakt moeten worden want items gaan niet mee naar de volgende maand.

Ook komen er veranderingen aan voor het Legendary lidmaatschap in het DC Universe Online systeem. In plaats van de maandelijkse 500 Station Cash zal er elke maand een bedrag van $5 komen. Deze $5 heten Loyalty Points. Deze kunnen elke maand verzameld en gespaard worden, en zullen dus niet per maand resetten zoals hiervoor genoemd.

The current benefit of receiving 500 Station Cash (SC) monthly will be replaced with a similar program that grants a form of in-game currency called Loyalty Points. Each month you will be granted $5 USD worth of Loyalty Points that you will be able to use at a special Loyalty Vendor to purchase Marketplace items. Your Loyalty Points will stack – meaning you can save up Loyalty Points in order to make larger purchases – but you must log into the game at least one time each month in order to collect them. DLC packs will not be purchasable with Loyalty Points.”
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes Gold lidmaatschap leden zullen gewoon elke maand hun 500 Station Cash krijgen, maar All Access gebruikers zullen hier geen gebruik meer van kunnen maken.
“Once again, Vanguard Gold members are not being affected. However yes you are correct that the 500 SC grant is being removed from the All-Access pass. Right now there isn’t any plan to give compensation in Vanguard to All-Access members so thank you for double checking on that.”
