De EyeToy voor de PlayStation bestaat al, maar nu de geruchten over de PlayStation 4 steeds sterker worden gaat er nu het gerucht over een eventuele “Dual Camera” voor de PlayStation 4 die samen met de PlayStation 4 in een bundel zou zitten.
De Dual Camera zou onder andere een stel ‘wide angle camera’s’ hebben met elk 720p resolutie. De microfoon die eraan vast zit zou een “4 microphone array working at 48 khz” zijn. Hij word dan ook al de “evolutionized HD EyeToy” genoemd. Gematsu:
The device is said to be able to recognize the user and log into the system, and can be used for video chat. It can apparently also track your hands and head as new game inputs. Though, it’s not clear if the deice supports body tracking, such as Kinect. According to the website, it will almost surely be bundled with every PlayStation 4.
