Gisteren werd er bekend gemaakt dat de 4kings een zonder Warcraft 3 team verder gaat. Vele zullen nu denken, lekker boeiend, ik ken ze niet. Maar onze eigen Nederlandse speler [flag]nl[/flag] Manuel ‘Grubby’ Schenkhuizen zat in dit team, hij staat nu op straat en is toch wel een van de beste spelers van de wereld. In 2003 kwam hij in 4Kings terecht en na 5 jaar komt er een einde aan. Wat hij nu zal gaan doen is tot op heden onbekend, we gaan het in de gaten houden.

Er staan meerdere statements op de site geschreven van andere betrokkenen van het team. Wil je deze lezen, klik dan hier om naar de website van 4Kings te gaan. UPDATEInmiddels is bekend geworden dat Warcraft 3 sterspeler [flag]nl[/flag] Grubby een nieuw onderkomen heeft gevonden. Hij heeft zich gevoegd bij de multigaming clan [flag]eu[/flag] MeetYourMakers. Zoals Grubby zelf laat weten in een statement heeft hij verschillende gesprekken gevoerd toen hij wist dat het Warcraft team bij 4Kings weg zou gaan. Het aanbod van MeetYourMakers kwam langs, het gesprek verliep goed en heeft Grubby besloten op het aanbod van MYM in te gaan. Niet alleen zal Grubby naar MeetYourMakers gaan, ook zal zijn vriendin Cassandra meegaan om deze community te voorzien van de laatste nieuwtjes, coverage, fotografie en blogs. De statement van Grubby
When I learned that 4K.wc3 will disband, I was looking for a new home. I don’t make such decisions lightly, and I had a very clear vision of what I was looking for. I talked around a bit and some promising ideas came up. However, I wasn’t prepared for this offer from a surprising corner. When the CEO of MYM expressed interest to talk to me, I was interested to hear what they could offer me. A very pleasant meeting developed into something substantial overnight. Sometimes good decisions are made fast, and that’s what happened in this case. I am very happy with the opportunity that MYM has given me, and I enter the team with an expectation of myself to improve a lot. I hope that I can do well and live up to everyone’s standards (most of all my own), but also just to have fun and enjoy working together with the people at MYM. I am happy that Cassandra was also able to come with me over to MYM. She will be attending tournaments together with me, as well as having a job in her own right in regards to reporting, coverage, photography, blogging, and more.
