Gisteren is de Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Championship begonnen in het Hollywood Palladium Theater. De beste teams van de wereld nemen het tegen elkaar op in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 op de Xbox 360.
De winnaars mogen de belachelijk lekkere prijs van $1 miljoen gaan verdelen. Activision is bezig om de wedstrijden live te streamen via de XBL Dashboard op Xbox.com, Call of Duty: Elite, de Call of Duty Facebook page, en via GameSpot en Twitch.tv. klik.Zondag beginnen de finales om 3.00pm PDT. We’re bringing Call of Duty’s massive player community together with the increasingly popular eSports movement. This is a great moment for the franchise, but also for eSports as a whole, which is only going to get bigger and better moving forward.”

De twee top teams van elke groep zullen doorgaan naar een 16-team double elimination bracket, waar het team die zich als eerste plaatst $400,000 mee naar huis neemt uit de $1 miljoen dollar prijzenpot. De overige zeven teams zullen elk prijzen mee naar huis nemen, variërend van $200,000 voor tweede plek tot $25,000 voor de achtste plek.
